   Connect your Instagram account

   Click “Connect with Instagram” and Instagram's own login screen opens. You enter your password there, on Instagram; ReplyHook only receives the permissions you approve.

   • A professional (Business or Creator) account is required
   • Your password never reaches ReplyHook
   • The access token is stored encrypted and renews itself

   Set up your rule

   Name the automation, pick the post and keyword, then write the comment reply and the DM. The preview on the right shows the message followers will see.

   Test it and go live

   Comment the keyword on your post from another Instagram account; the comment reply and DM arrive within seconds. Then follow the results in the dashboard.

   • Comments from your own account don't trigger rules; test with another account
   • A rule applies to comments that arrive after it was created
   • Switch it off and on whenever you like

   A comment arrives

   Instagram reports the new comment instantly; if a notification is missed, a regular scan catches it.

2. 02

   A rule matches

   The comment is simplified and compared with your rules. Duplicates and your own comments are filtered out.

   It's queued

   The delivery is written to a persistent queue and retried if something fails.

   Reply and DM go out

   A reply under the comment, and the message and link in the person's DMs.

   The click is counted

   When the link is clicked, it shows up in analytics.

  The connection is made on Instagram's own screen. ReplyHook only keeps an access token granted with the permissions you approved.

• Encrypted storage

  Instagram access tokens are stored encrypted in the database.

• Respects rate limits

  Deliveries that hit Meta's rate limit wait and are retried later; limits are never pushed.

• Messaging rules

  One private reply per comment, comments from the last 7 days, and the 24-hour rule and bot disclosure for the assistant.

• You're in control

  Remove the connection any time from the dashboard or from Instagram under Settings → Apps and websites.
